Pete Johnson


Pete represents local governments, special districts, and other water users in water rights matters. Formerly Pete was an Assistant Attorney General in the Natural Resources Section of the Colorado Attorney General's Office, where he represented the State and Division Engineers, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, and the Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife. Prior to his work as an Assistant Attorney General, Mr. Johnson was a judicial law clerk to Chief District Court Judge Stephen J. Schapanski and District Court Judge Devin R. Odell in the Eighth Judicial District of Colorado. Pete has a B.S. from Colorado State University in Rangeland Ecosystem Science, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Pete is a member of the Natural Resources and Environmental Law Section and the Water Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association. Pete also serves on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Watershed Assembly.
