Mr. Ladd's practice focuses on water rights planning, adjudications, and transactions, including the following areas:
Adjudication of individual and subdivision augmentation plans using Mountain Mutual Reservoir Company shares in Jefferson and Park County, and other water supplies throughout Colorado.
Representation of municipalities, groundwater districts, water companies, mining and industrial users, developers, and individuals regarding all water rights matters.
Expertise in Water Court and appeals to the Colorado Supreme Court, whether as Applicant or Opposer, to obtain, preserve, maximize, and protect valuable water rights, including wells, ditches, reservoirs, augmentation plans, and exchanges.
Expertise in water transactions, including acquisition, sales, analyses, annexation issues, title investigations, easements, and related contracts and agreements.
Expertise in resolving disputes between neighbors regarding ditch easements, irrigation and runoff easements, and other conflicts arising from development in historically agricultural communities.
